Crane Beach Volunteer Event

A reminder that this Saturday August 22nd EGB is looking for volunteers to head up to beautiful Crane Beach Estate and work with the Trustees on planting some trees around the estate.

Crane Beach is home to many species of birds, plants and mammals, for which the board of Trustees works to maintain the natural habitat in which they thrive. To read more about their work and the estate go to: http://www.thetrustees.org/pages/294_crane_beach.cfm

Volunteers are needed to arrive at Crane Beach at 9am, and will work till approximately noon. Parking will be provided for those who drive, and the area is also T accessible via the Ipswich Essex Explorer; see here for more information: http://www.ipswichessexexplorer.com/

Upon arrival follow signs for the Castle Inn/Great House, there will be a gate attendant at the base of the hill, let them know you are with the volunteer group working with Bob Murray and have them direct you to the Great House where we will meet.

If you have a favorite pair of gardening/work gloves feel free to bring them along, otherwise all other tools will be provided. After the work is done all are welcome to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the beach, and bring a packed lunch if you like!
